I’ve had Lena C. Emery’s website bookmarked for a while now, and from time to time, I like to click in and see if there’s anything new for me to feast me eyes on. It’s funny, more than once I’ve seen a photo and fallen in love, only to find out it’s one of hers. I love the soft, slightly over-exposed lighting and tight framing in her photographs that makes them almost instantly recognizable.
This series, 24/24, is “a study of character and consequence, each session (of a continuing series) focuses upon a single female figure for a sole hour…The subject is left to her own devices; inhabiting, interacting with and becoming a part of her ever-shifting, surroundings – driven and directed solely by instinct and the passage of real time.”
